Mark your calendars for the 2009 Edgewater GRalley – Saturday, September 19 – Noon to 10pm.
Even the rainiest recorded day in Chicago's history could not stop the fun. The 2008 Premiere Event proved to be a huge success – the GRalley was even voted one of the "Best Bets for a great time!" by Metromix & RedEye.
Join us again for Guitars and Grillin’ along Granville's Back Alleys as the Edgewater neighborhood comes alive for this all-ages, block party in the heart of Chicago's North Side. This one-day event features two stages with 18 different acts including multiple genres of bands; as well as a Battle of BBQs staffed by Chicago’s top culinary schools and restaurants competing in dueling pig roasts.
This event is the first of its kind in Edgewater to overtly incorporate environmentally-friendly themes and materials into the excitement of the day.
Music, Food Tents, Beer Gardens, Sports Corner for cheering on Cubs and Sox as well as College Football Teams, Artist Displays, Kids Area, a raffle and silent auction items provide plenty of entertainment for the adults both day and night. Environmentally-friendly and themed kids games and events ensure family fun throughout the day.
